“Not on the list” isn't a yes

If an item isn't named on the official prohibited list we say so, and link the list. Every park and cruise line says security can still refuse anything.

Cruise bags get screened

Disney Cruise Line says banned items found in your luggage are confiscated and your bags reach the stateroom late, often late evening on boarding day.

Land and sea trip?

Pick both a park and a ship. A cooler that's fine at Disney World can be too big for the ship, and a power strip from the hotel can't come aboard.

Every item we track

Every verdict comes from the official page linked with it, checked Oct 28, 2026. "Not on the list" means the item is not named on that official list; security can still refuse any item. “–” means the rule doesn't apply there (for example, irons at a theme park).

Questions

Can I bring a power strip on a Disney cruise or Royal Caribbean?

No. Disney Cruise Line prohibits extension cords, power strips, multi-plugs and surge protectors, and confiscates them at screening. Royal Caribbean also prohibits extension cords, power strips and multi-plug outlets; its exception is device and USB chargers marked with a recognized U.S. or European conformity certification.

Can you bring a wagon to Disney World?

No. Walt Disney World's property rules prohibit wagons and stroller wagons in every theme park and water park, and strollers can be no larger than 31 in wide and 52 in long. Disney Cruise Line does not allow wagons on board except collapsible wagons. Universal Orlando's prohibited list does not name wagons.

Are selfie sticks allowed at Disney World and Universal?

Not at Disney World: selfie sticks and hand-held extension poles are banned in the theme parks and water parks. Universal Orlando's prohibited list doesn't include them, but its Code of Conduct requires selfie sticks to be secured on attractions. On Disney Cruise Line they can be used in most areas if retracted and under 18 in.

Can I bring food and drinks into Disney World and Universal?

Disney World allows outside food and nonalcoholic drinks if they aren't in glass, don't need heating or refrigeration and don't have pungent odors. Universal Orlando prohibits outside food and drinks except bottled water (up to 2 liters per guest), food needed for medical or special dietary reasons, and baby food or formula. Universal only permits soft-sided coolers smaller than 8.5 x 6 x 6 in.

Bags, backpacks and coolers, with or without wheels, must be no larger than 24 in long, 15 in wide and 18 in high. Loose ice and dry ice aren't allowed; Disney recommends reusable ice packs.

Can I put magnets on my Disney cruise stateroom door?

Yes. Disney Cruise Line welcomes tasteful magnetic signs. Skip tape and adhesives, sound or video elements and anything on corridor walls or ceilings (damage carries a $100 fee). Magnets won't stick to the wooden Concierge stateroom doors on Disney Dream and Disney Fantasy.

What does "Not on the list" mean?

It means the item isn't named on that park's or cruise line's official prohibited-items page. It isn't a promise that it's allowed: every list says security can refuse any item. When in doubt, ask the park or cruise line before you pack it.
