Park Crowds: Right Now & Best Days

Disney World, Disneyland & Universal Orlando · all times ET

ParkScoop estimate, not an official forecast. Disney and Universal don’t publish crowd numbers. The gauge is computed from live posted waits; the calendar uses only the rules and cited sources explained below.

Right now: crowd gauge

Loading live waits…

How the gauge works: the average posted standby wait of every ride currently operating with a wait posted (live from ThemeParks.wiki ↗). ParkScoop bands: under 20 min Light, 20–34 Moderate, 35–49 Busy, 50+ Very busy. “Our log: typical” is the median daily average from ParkScoop’s own wait log. Posted waits are a proxy for crowds, not a headcount.

Best days (expected quieter, longest hours first)

How the calendar decides

  • ▲ Expected busier when the date falls in a holiday or school break on our list: NJEA Convention, Nov 5–8 (NJEA ↗, Orlando parks), Veterans Day Nov 11, Thanksgiving week Nov 21–29, winter break Dec 19–Jan 3 (OPM federal holidays ↗).
  • ▽ Expected quieter means none of those factors applies. It is relative, not a promise of low crowds.
  • Hours, Early Entry, Extended Evening and ticketed events (party nights, Halloween Horror Nights) come from the parks’ official calendars via our park hours calendar. They’re listed for each day but don’t change the indicator. Disneyland hours aren’t in our calendar yet.
  • “Best days” are the quieter days, sorted by the longest published park hours.
  • We don’t use day-of-week patterns or invent crowd scores. When our own wait log has enough weeks, we’ll add what it shows.

What our wait log recorded

Average posted standby wait per day across that day’s logged checks (number of checks in brackets), from ParkScoop’s own ThemeParks.wiki log. A few checks a day is a thin sample.
